Our brand Seal Coast Safaris offers a unique way to explore Wellington’s rugged coastline and encounter New Zealand fur seals up close and personal. The tour includes exclusive access to private farmland, where our guests see what life was like, and is still just outside of Wellington.
The 3-hour 4WD safari accommodates up to 20 people per vehicle. Our air-conditioned high-clearance vehicles are designed for comfort and panoramic experiences.
The adult male New Zealand fur seals can weigh between 110 to 160 kilograms, while adult females are generally smaller, weighing between 30 to 50 kilograms. Pups, weigh only around 3-4 kilograms at birth.
